Nightrave Greyhounds

Adoption information

What to know before applying for a Nightrave greyhound.

Ready To Adopt?

Tell us about yourself and the home you can offer a greyhound. Complete the questionnaire below and we will help you meet your new family member.

The cost to adopt a greyhound from Nightrave is $380.00. Your new dog will be registered, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Your new dog also comes with a collar and leash, and a muzzle. Coats are available to purchase at a discount when you adopt a new dog from Nightrave.

All questionnaire and contact fields are required. Photos are optional. Your answers and any successfully uploaded photos are saved securely and emailed to Nightrave for assessing your adoption application. Your contact details may also be provided to the Greyhound Transition Agency to confirm your adoption. Contact nightravegreys@gmail.com with questions about your information.

Photos of your fencing and home (optional)

If possible, include a photo of your fencing plus any relevant photos of your home. If you have trouble uploading photos, don\'t worry — submit your application anyway and we can ask for them later. We may want to visit your home before approving your adoption.

Choose up to six JPG, PNG or WebP photos. Large phone photos will be resized automatically before upload. Photos that cannot be uploaded will be skipped rather than stopping your application.

Conditions of adoption

  • I will ensure, at my cost, that the dog remains registered with all appropriate authorities, as required by law or council regulation.
  • The dog will not be tethered, chained or tied up; it will be kept inside, or in a kennel or crate, or in a suitably fenced safe section.
  • The dog will be kept on leash at all times as required by local bylaws or other regulations. I understand that Nightrave recommends off-leash running only in secure, fenced environments; and that Nightrave does not recommend off-leashing greyhounds (or any dog!) in dog parks or on busy dog beaches. Off leash running should be undertaken AFTER recall training has been achieved.
  • I understand that I have free support from Nightrave, 24/7, for as long as I own the dog
  • The dog will not be used in imagery or in person to promote anti-racing ideology
  • I understand that the dog is not a rescue dog and will ensure it is not referred to as such by myself and members of my family.
  • I agree to return the dog to Nightrave should I no longer wish to remain the owner of the dog (unless it is adopted by another member of my family in which case I agree to inform Nightrave of the new owner's name and contact details.)
  • Should I wish to return the dog then I will transport the dog back myself, or arrange transport myself, covering any costs this incurs.
  • I understand my contact details may be provided to the Greyhound Transition Agency to confirm my adoption.
